About Me...
My name is Abby Clegg. I am a student at New London high school and will graduate in 2014. My favorite hobbies are cheerleading and dancing. If I can ever sneak any free time into my days, I like hanging out with my friends and my family. Jewelry is the first art class i have ever taken and i really like it. I have learned so many cool things so far this semester. Throughout this class i have really noticed my creative side coming out. I plan to take more art classes in my following years of high school. This will help me in life because it will always be a relaxing thing I will turn to. I love jewelry, and jewelry making is really fun this year. Maybe someday I will be good enough to make really nice jewelry and sell it!

For this project i used a peyote stitch that I learned this year in class. This was one of the biggest projects we did all year. I really took my time to make sure this one turned out nice. After i finished the beading, I decided to attach it to a headband. I am very proud of the finished project.

Beaded Headband

This is a picture of my beaded headband. We first had to attatch the stones, and then stitch the beads to the piece of felt. It was one of the biggest projects we did this year, and one of the most challenging. We got to use our imagination with this project, and make whatever we wanted using the stitching technique. I attached mine to a headband. I am really proud of the finished project.

For this project we used the peyote stitch. I needed at least three inches of stitching. i decided to make my stitch around a decorative serving spoon. This project took a long time, and i got kind of sick of it after about a week, but it turned out nice.

This project was really cool! I loved the idea, so I went to buy special beads and wire just for this project. This is my favorite piece of jewelry I made this semester.

Swirly Twirly

I tried out a new style with this necklace. On ever other link I did a swirl with wire. I think this is a really fun necklace, and I like how it turned out.

This was the easiest project we did this year, and it is also probably one of my favorites. Out of all of the jewelry pieces that I made this year, I can see myself wearing this one the most. I think it looks like it was bought in a store.
